
Academy and Oscar Award winning actor Richard Dreyfuss, known for his roles in American Graffiti, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and The Goodbye Girl (for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1977), greeted the sponsors and posed for photos during a private meet-and-greet immediately prior to the evenings main event. During the event Dreyfess spoke of his new role as President of The Dreyfuss Initiative, which seeks to advance a new level of cross-curricular study in public schools spanning logic, reason, critical thinking and history. He underscored his belief that too many Americans don't realize the power we hold in a democracy and that the solution is to change the way we teach and learn about civics.

The Center has hosted political events and town hall meetings, including a 2008 Democratic presidential primary debate between Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and a town hall meeting with Senator John McCain.
President George H.W. Bush serves as Chairman of the Constitution Center. He has referred to the Center as a jewel of America".
