"We were delighted to have the opportunity to be among a few Philadelphia area companies and CBS Radio 1210 to sponsor "An Evening with Richard Dreyfuss", supporting The Dreyfuss Initiative", said Julie Morris, President of FotoBridge and former educator.

Academy and Oscar Award winning actor Richard Dreyfuss, known for his roles in American Graffiti, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and The Goodbye Girl (for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1977), greeted the sponsors and posed for photos during a private meet-and-greet immediately prior to the evenings main event. During the event Dreyfess spoke of his new role as President of The Dreyfuss Initiative, which seeks to advance a new level of cross-curricular study in public schools spanning logic, reason, critical thinking and history. He underscored his belief that too many Americans don't realize the power we hold in a democracy and that the solution is to change the way we teach and learn about civics.

Located near historic Independence Hall and The Liberty Bell in old-city Philadelphia, The National Constitution Center has quickly become a mecca for politicians, world leaders and celebrities wishing to commemorate, pay homage and celebrate the founding principles of our country embodied in the American Constitution. Since opening in June of 2005, the center has hosted numerous events and visitors including Laura Bush, Lynne Cheney, Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, and Supreme Court Justices Stephen Breyer, Sandra Day O’Connor, Antonin Scalia.

The Center has hosted political events and town hall meetings, including a 2008 Democratic presidential primary debate between Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, and a town hall meeting with Senator John McCain.

President George H.W. Bush serves as Chairman of the Constitution Center. He has referred to the Center as a “jewel of America".
