
Since 1975, Allen Rokach has been circling the globe on many assignments for publications such as National Geographic, The New York Times, Audubon, Natural History, Popular Photography, Modern Photography, Better Homes & Gardens, and Science Digest. As a recognized expert in location photography, his photographs have appeared on the covers of numerous magazines and used for a variety of commercial publications.


His work has been extensively featured in New York and across the country in one-man exhibitions. The venues have included Nikon House, the Brooklyn Museum, New York Academy of Science, New York Botanical Garden, and the Horticultural Society of New York.
Throughout his career, he has been an active photographic lecturer and educator at institutions such as the International Center of Photography, American Museum of Natural History, the New School for Social Research and several colleges and universities. He often is invited to judge international photo competitions.
He has also co-authored eight books and numerous articles with his wife, Anne Millman, covering photography, travel, nature and science. These publications have won publishing industry awards and have been translated into French and Chinese.
